How much does Updox fax cost? No list price is published
Updox publishes no dollar price for fax, only page allowances and a Schedule Demo button. For the same 1,000 pages, Fax Pigeon's Plus plan is $16.99 a month billed annually, with a BAA at signup.

Updox publishes no price for fax. Its pricing page lists up to 1,000 fax pages on Standard and up to 10,000 on Enterprise, and every plan card ends in a Schedule Demo button. For the same 1,000 pages, Fax Pigeon's Plus plan is $16.99 a month billed annually, with a signed BAA at signup.
Does Updox publish a price for fax?
No. The pricing page carries no dollar figure and no billing period, and it describes the model as usage-based. Its pricing FAQ says Updox's consultants build each package, which can hold one product or the whole platform. The support page's FAQ on monthly cost ends by telling buyers to contact the team for specific pricing information. Updox's pricing calculator asks for the quantity of each product a practice uses per month and recommends a plan, with no dollar amount.
The eFax product page prints no price either. Its ROI calculator lists assumptions of $30 a month for an analog fax line and $150 a month for paper, toner and shredding. Both describe the old setup's costs, and the page says its results are for illustration purposes.
What do Updox's plans include?
For the Updox platform the pricing page lists two plans, Standard and Enterprise, and an additional bundle for each. Standard, the card for small to mid-sized practices, includes up to 1,000 fax pages beside 75 telehealth sessions, reminders for up to 500 appointments, up to 500 text messages and 500 broadcast messages. Enterprise, for large practices and health systems, includes up to 10,000 fax pages and 500 telehealth sessions. An additional Standard bundle adds up to 500 fax pages and an additional Enterprise bundle up to 5,000. The pricing FAQ says a bundle costs less per unit than overage charges, and it states neither rate.
Does Updox count pages or faxes?
The plan cards count fax pages. The pricing FAQ's example describes a plan that includes "1,000 electronic faxes (sent and received)" and a bundle that adds 500. A five-page fax is five fax pages on one count and one fax on the other, and the pricing page never defines the unit. Updox's help article on cancelled faxes states its charge in pages: a successfully cancelled fax is charged as 1 page, however many pages it held, and failed faxes are treated the same way. Fax Pigeon counts pages sent and received together, and How much does a fax cost per page? compares how other services count.

Fax Pigeon's Plus plan costs $16.99 a month billed annually, or $17.99 month to month, for 1,000 pages sent and received. A page past the allowance costs 4 cents on a separate invoice, and faxes keep arriving. All six plans are on the pricing page.
What do Updox's terms add to the bill?
The Master Service Agreement carries no fee schedule, because each Service Order sets its own fees. These terms apply on top:
- Usage fees are billed monthly in arrears, and invoices are due 30 days after receipt unless the order says otherwise.
- A $35.00 administrative late charge applies per invoice per month to a declined electronic payment, a returned check or an invoice overdue by more than 60 days. Undisputed past-due amounts also carry 1.5% a month, or the legal maximum if lower.
- Updox may change its fees at any time on notice, which can be an invoice, including a fee for a feature it once offered free.
- The primary account holder is responsible for charges made by additional users.
- An upgrade takes effect at once with any fee increase, and a downgrade waits for renewal. Neither produces a prorated refund.
- Fees are non-refundable unless the order says otherwise, and taxes are extra.
- A customer that does not report a billing discrepancy within two billing cycles gives up the right to contest it.
Fax Pigeon prorates an upgrade and includes unlimited people at no extra cost.
Does the price include the BAA?
Updox lists no separate charge for the BAA, on the pricing page or in the Master Service Agreement. The BAA is Exhibit A of that agreement, and a buyer accepts the agreement by signing a service order that cites it or by using the services. Under 45 CFR 164.502(e), a covered entity documents the assurances it gets from a business associate in a written contract or other written agreement. Fax Pigeon signs its BAA at signup on every plan, and Online fax services that sign a BAA compares how other services handle theirs.
What does it cost to leave Updox?
A month-to-month order renews each month unless either side gives 30 days' written notice before the term ends, and an annual order renews for another year unless written notice arrives 60 days before it ends. The fax addendum, Exhibit B, gives a practice use of the numbers Updox provides only until the term ends and makes Updox the customer of record for them. Its port-out terms cover a number the practice ported in. The charge varies with where the numbers are and how many are ported, and no amount is printed. The right to request a port-out ends 60 days after termination. After termination, the numbers Updox provided and any ported number the practice has not asked to port out may be reassigned immediately. Porting out of Fax Pigeon is free, and the steps are in Port your fax number before you cancel.
Who should switch from Updox?
A practice that needs about 1,000 pages a month should switch to Plus: $16.99 a month billed annually for the same 1,000 pages, with unlimited people at no extra cost, a BAA signed at signup and free porting out. A practice that needs 10,000 pages should switch to Max at $159.99 a month billed annually, with 2 cents a page past the allowance.
