One of the seven practice tools puts both sending and receiving faxes in a plan price it prints: Spruce Health's Basic plan, $24 a month per user before taxes and fees. Doximity's free line has no plan to price and is open to four named professions.
The test is a printed plan price that covers sending and receiving with no extra credits and no second account.
Which tools include fax in the plan price?

| Jane | No, an add-on | A Documo license, $15 USD a month for 500 pages, marked required |

What do the seven tools' own pages say about fax?
Spruce counts every teammate as a user, so a clinician, a biller and a virtual assistant are three seats at $24. It does not bill fax pages one by one at typical use and says heavy per-person volume can bring a custom price. A Basic practice can set up a fax line for each user and one more.
Spruce's terms name e-faxing, with email, texts and voice calls, among its "Unsecure Communications" and leave responsibility for unauthorized access from them with the practice. Its BAA comes with every trial and paid plan for an organization that needs one, and the practice accepts it online as it sets up its Spruce organization. The per-person math is in Fax number for a telehealth practice with no office.
IntakeQ's pricing page lists E-Faxing Options and a HIPAA BAA on its Forms Only plans, $29.90 and $54.90 a month, and its Practice Management plans carry the same features. Its help center steers frequent senders to SRFax instead of credits. SRFax sits outside IntakeQ's BAA, so the SRFax page tells a practice to get a BAA of its own from SRFax. A BAA is the written contract that 45 CFR 164.502(e) calls for with a business associate, and Do you need a BAA with your online fax service? walks through it. Every Fax Pigeon plan includes a signed BAA, executed at signup. Fax Pigeon vs SRFax compares the plans.
Jane's plan comparison puts a check beside Integrated Outbound Fax on Balance, Practice and Thrive, $59, $79 and $99 a month, and prints no fee beside it. Jane's own guide names the fee. Sending and receiving run on a Documo license at $15 USD a month, which covers 500 pages ($0.08 each after), 3 numbers and 10 users, and moving an existing number in costs $15 USD once. Received faxes land in a Documo workspace and, until Documo's document processing is switched on, open only there. Fax Pigeon vs Documo compares Documo's own plans.
Tebra's pricing page puts a check beside Inbound Digital Fax on All in One, EHR+, EHR Starter and Billing Starter and an x beside it on Patient Experience + Marketing. It lists no outbound fax. The help center describes integrated faxing that sends, receives and manages faxes in the web platform. It says sending is for Clinical with Billing subscribers who enable kFax, with 10 MB for all the documents in one fax. Tebra prints prices per provider on a separate overview, from $49 to $799 a month, and neither that page nor the pricing page uses the name Clinical with Billing.
WebPT's pricing page lists Digital outbound faxing under Starter, Enhanced and Ultimate, each with a Book a Demo button where a price would go. It lists no inbound fax. The Message Manager guide says outbound faxing comes with every membership and calls digital faxing in Message Manager unlimited. It adds that sending and receiving faxes through Message Manager needs a connection to Kno2's network.
SimplePractice's help center says it does not currently support eFaxing. Its May product-feedback roundup logs a user request to fax from within SimplePractice, for its product and engineering teams to review. The pricing page lists Starter, Essential and Plus at standard prices of $49, $79 and $99 a month, with add-ons for AI notes, e-prescribing and claims and none for fax.
Doximity's DocFax page calls its fax free, with unlimited pages, for U.S. licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and pharmacists. It names no therapists, counselors or social workers. Is Doximity fax HIPAA compliant? covers its other eligibility rules and its BAA.
Who should switch?
A practice that pays for fax by the person. Every teammate added to Spruce Basic is another $24 a month before taxes and fees, and a Fax Pigeon plan covers unlimited people at no extra cost.
A practice whose fax sits behind a second account. At 500 pages a month, Jane's route is a $15 USD Documo license on top of a Jane plan, and IntakeQ's is an SRFax plan from $12.60 on top of an IntakeQ plan. Fax Pigeon Standard is $11.99 a month, or $9.99 billed annually, for 500 pages sent and received.
A practice on Tebra or WebPT that wants a printed fax price. Fax Pigeon Basic is $4.99 a month billed annually, or $5.99 month to month, for 200 pages sent and received, with the practice's own number and a signed BAA executed at signup. The pricing page lists all six plans.
A practice on SimplePractice, which has no fax of its own. Does SimplePractice have fax? shows the hand-off.
Move the number first. Jane's guide charges $15 USD once to bring a number into Documo, while porting into Fax Pigeon is free on every paid plan. How to port a fax number before you cancel lists the steps.
